Robert Branaman is a master of traditional print-making techniques and spiritual art. His Tibetan Buddhist deities are joyful visual delights. Bob left San Francisco in the '60s, moving to Big Sur where he became a seminal force of what evolved into the hippie scene there. Bob was one of the innovative artists showing at San Francisco’s legendary Batman Gallery and part of Michael McClure’s play !The Feast! His paintings are prominently featured in Oliver Stone’s film The Doors. He lives in Santa Monica, CA.
my spiritual practice? i try for Bodhicitta: some deity meditations, etc. Tibetan meditation for over 25 years. i chanted the short Medicine Buddha mantra as i ran the Medicine Buddha through the press...ditto for the rest, as "Om Tare tuTare ture Svaha" for white Tara.
